What is Elements?–+
Elements is a scientifically-engineered material - a fusion of pure, fine natural quartz and post-consumer recycled glass. The company's scientific breakthrough has resulted in the creation of a highly-polished, luxurious and sustainable surface - virtually indestructible.
What are the advantages of Elements?–+
There are many! Elements is an eco-friendly, monolithic, non-porous material that is extremely resistant to heat, scratches and stains from food, juices, wine, coffee, tea, nail polish and even permanent marker. This new countertop surface, virtually indestructible and maintenance free, is ideally suited for kitchens, bathrooms and other high-traffic areas. Satisfying stringent health and safety codes, Elements is NSF 51 certified for food contact and is low-VOC emitting as certified by Greenguard. What is quartz?–+
Quartz is one of the hardest components of natural granite. Quartz rates seven out of 10 on Mohs Scale of Hardness. The only materials harder are diamonds, sapphires and topaz. The quartz crystals are used to create a beautiful and strong surface that is highly scratch and impact resistant.
How do I care for Elements?–+
Simply clean up any spills with soap and water. For routine cleaning, use a small amount of cleaner that is non-bleach and nonabrasive along with warm water and a damp cloth. Repeat as needed to keep the lustrous gloss and radiant sheen. Please refer to the Elements Care & Maintenance Section of the website for more information.
When preparing meals, can raw foods such as vegetables, acidic fruits, and meats be placed directly on the surface?–+
Yes. Elements is a non-porous surface. This means germs and bacteria cannot accumulate with regular cleaning. Elements is also approved for direct food contact in any commercial food preparation area by the National Sanitation Foundation.
Is Elements scratch resistant?–+
Because of Elements unique composition, the surface is highly scratch and impact resistant. However, as with any surface, sudden impact, excessive force/pressure, or misuse could potentially damage the surface.
What makes Elements "green"?–+
- Elements is composed with post-consumer recycled glass, reducing the amount of glass going into landfills; up to 170 tons of glass diverted from landfills to date

Does Elements off-gas?–+
Elements has achieved Greenguard® Certifications in both Indoor Air Quality and Children & Schools which means that your countertops allow for better quality indoor air by meeting low chemical emission standards. Our unique manufacturing process chemically cross-links the raw material components to create a true monolithic solid material. Our product is completely cured, is totally inert and will not off gas. Elements has also been tested to NASA standards for the lowest Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions of any countertop material available.

Do I need to finish or seal Elements?–+
No. Unlike natural stone products, Elements is a non-porous surface, you will NEVER have to apply a sealer.
